Take Two Acquires Mafia 2 Developer

05_x.jpgTake-Two Interactive announced today the acquisition of Illusion Softworks.

Illusion Softworks from main Central Europe grounded on the inhabitant, studio which plays compilation with operations in Brno and Prague, the Czech Republic. Illusion Softworks has approximately 200 employees and will join Take-Two’s 2K Games publishing label as its newest studio, 2K Czech.

Installed in 1997, Illusion Softworks - the creator and the holder of some privileges of an informational play of handling, including Mafia, Hidden & Dangerous and Vietcong. The studio attends now with 2K Games on Mafia II, prolongation to an initial Mafia which has helped to instal a sort of the gangster and has sold more than two million units.

“The acquisition of Illusion Softworks reflects our strategic focus on owning high-value intellectual property as we continue to expand our portfolio of triple-A titles,” said Ben Feder, Chief Executive Officer of Take-Two.

Christoph Hartmann, the chairman of 2K, has told, “connecting, that the 2K Czech to our net of studio of compilation has presented our firm commitment to education of large privileges and build-ups of creative bunches world-class. The bunch of 2K Czech bears responsibility for privileges a little very innovative and the top part, sized up, and we hope that we continue to prepare new and existing IP together.”
